Hampshire Cup   Message 47515Tue, 18 September 2018 11:38

Just wondered what the rules are in HSC regarding player qualification?

Shots put out a very young youth side, 16 and 17 year olds, at Team Solent last night, augmented by just 3 senior players who, by all accounts, weren't very interested!.

They were hammered 5-0!

Justified to get out of the competition, or making a mockery of it?

If only there was a website to assist with such queries! :0)

The answer:-

34. WEAK & INCOMPLETE TEAMS

Each Club shall play its strongest available team, consisting of 11 players, in all matches ..... Any club failing to comply may be fined not less than £15.00 ....

A PL or FL club not wishing to take part pays a £1,500 forfeit, so any fine levied on Aldershot probably would be higher than fifteen quid!

It's all here: http://www.hampshirefa.com/cups-and-competitions/rules-and-d ocuments

...moaning about the club and those that run it won't get you anywhere...

...having been home and away through the Westley, then Theo, then Higgins and Turberville, then Hollis eras I am speaking from experience! This negativity will get us nowhere.

Are you sure you were there for Pinky and perky?? I remember a lot of moaning about the club and those who run it. That worked out in the end.

Clearly Enver-Marum has gone after being played out of position / lack of effort after securing a deal.

Any ideas on Cullen?

Think Cullen has been on his hols. Not sure when he's back.
Enver-Marum is about as likely to return as Vic Searle.

Can I just point out that the team in away programmes is just an educated guess by the fixtures secretary and is in no way an official squad for the match.

Phil Martin, Fixtures secretary.

So supporters have to wait until just before kick off to find out what team we are putting out, as usual??
