Obviously disappointing but SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!!!

If they have to extend the season for the Premier League, EFL, Scottish Leagues and lower leagues, they should!

In my opinion all companies involved have taken the correct steps and decision to postpone the football fixtures.

For English league football it will be April 3rd at the earliest with the game between Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers.

This is a shame, but it's important that all the players - or anyone for that matter - keeps themself safe - and only return to school/work when they are properly ready!

Season over I think.
It is not going to be any better in April is it?

I presume that all leagues will remain as they are and start again next season if that becomes possible.
There cannot be promotion and relegation as it will not be possible to stage play off games if they said the positions stand where they are now

I think that is the only logical conclusion Mick.

There is absolutely no possibility of getting the matches played to complete a League before May, and that is also the time when those Clubs with contracted players will finish contracts anyway, except those with two year ones!

The major stumbling block, apart from the health one, is cash flow, and that could seriously jeopardise the very being of some Clubs!!
Contracts, staff, and running costs of stadiums will still have to be met somehow!!

There are bound to be casualties, Clubs and people, and should a new start be undertaken in August/September, it could be a very different aspect from what we currently have!!

Keep safe everyone, and hope to see you all again when this is all over.

Looks like I will be one of the 'confined to barracks' crew soon!!
Glad the good weather is coming, and I've got a big garden to look after!!

They can't answer questions because they don't know the answers. No one does.

I suppose that playing games behind closed doors, with prior health checks to all officials and players, would get the physical side of finishing the season done, and would settle any contractual agreements with players and broadcasters etc.

As to the financial aspect, particularly at non league, that is a whole new can of worms!

I don't like the idea of playing matches behind closed doors, it doesn't seem right. Fans are what shape football! The results and performances would be a lot different without fans in the stadium than they would be if people were there.

To be honest, I wouldn't be worrying too much about fixtures being completed anytime soon, behind closed doors or otherwise.

Other stuff going on is the priority. I wish all as smooth a journey to the other side of this crisis as is possible.

By the way, I am considering changing hosting companies, as the current one has been chinging me and the contract is up for renewal soon. Please visit regularly as you may have to change your bookmarks to here soon.

I'll post an update once I have more info.

Thanks for keeping it going Nigel, it really helps keep in touch.

One thing though, please try and keep the format as is, if at all possible!!

The main site changed recently and, to be honest, is very difficult to navigate around, and not very user friendly!!

Don't forget that British hospitality industry - and let's be honest I am really thinking of bars and pubs are facing bankruptcy.

However local breweries and pubs are arranging free local deliveries, beer and food take aways and cheap mail order.

Off the top of my head that includes"

Prince of Wales

Siren
Elusive
Hogs Back
Andwell
Thurston's
Big Smoke
Vibrant Forest
Unity
Double-Barrelled

Restaurants are also doing takeaways.

I'd imagine Ascot Brewing in Camberley will be doing similar.

I used the Hog's Back drive-thru earlier this week - details are on their website. All very easy.
