Correction to our starting XI:

David Fitzpatrick is wearing number 16 (not 10).

Ref just failed to give a booking on their 4 for a tackle that would have been a yellow in a rugby match: dragged a player down by his neck!

A whole bag of nothing - both teams just can cancelling each other out. We have had by far the better chances but no real saves for their keeper to make beyond picking up 30 yard pea-rollers.

We really did not deserve that loss.

For most of the game, we had some solid play against a strong side. Swindon dominated the first ten minutes of the game, and we gradually eased ourselves into it with a few chances here and there in the first 45.

The second half was probably where most of the action happened. Swindon started off strong and had a lot of chances just like the first. Shortly after there was a foul on Reggie in the box and a penalty was given, but a strong save by the keeper.
There were some frustrating periods of play as we seemed to stay tight to one area and just played the ball down the wing when there were lots of options available to cut back to in the middle.
We just seemed to struggle to break through in the second half, and paid the price for it as Spencer brought Sealy Harris off - which I thought was a strange decision.
The goal came in the 91st minute as rebounded shot trickled over the line to make it 0-1.

The only issue is, as I write this, Football Web Pages and the Boro twitter feed are saying that it finished 0-0 after a correction?!

Not sure what's going on there.

Well, that was a late kick in the nuts.
The lads played well and deserved at least a point out of that.
That's footie for you, I suppose...

Poor game that really had little in its favour to speak of from either side.

Should really have finished 0-0 which would have been fairer on everyone involved and reflective of the quality from both teams in the final third of the pitch.

It showed us today that if you miss your penalties then it really can cost you - then again with how many Beach has saved this season, we've certainly benefited more than we have lost from them.

Sorry HBB. I thought it was a pretty good tussle, and effort, from both sides.
There was never going to be a goal fest, and always a one goal winner!

Thought we had it with the penalty but A.S.H, normally reliable, gave the keeper a decent chance to save with a shot at a comfortable height any keeper would relish!

Great to see Sean back in the heart of things, and you wouldn't know he had been away for a month in Oz.

Excellent efforts from J.O. as usual, and my M.o.M which was definitely Louis Dunne, he just never stopped running, brilliant.

Good effort all round from the lads which didn't deserve losing, but there you go!

Another result that screams an experienced player, preferably deep lying in midfield, is so badly needed. It's not that they would be better than what we have, it's that they would tell our, clearly skilled, young players, how to calm down a bit and actually win a game of football.

We made the right substitution, and then did nothing with it. I can count on the fingers of no hands (or feet) the times we passed the ball to Rene Howe's feet, so he could hold up the ball and play in a runner.

Naive stuff. And some academy-level naive defending allowed Swindon to get a winning goal in stoppage time.

We have plenty of good, but inexperienced, players. They need help on the pitch. Coaches/managers can only do so much from the sidelines.

A senior, experienced, controller on the field is certainly something we are missing.

They don't come cheap though, and I also wonder what degree of authority they would be allowed to commit, show, or give opinion on, even if we did manage to get such a player??

Yes, we have talented players like Louis Dunne - but I think he is only on loan and Sealy Harris is a great player too. I think that we need more of those types of players.
