Swindon Supermarine (home)   Message 50789Fri, 21 February 2020 09:57  Go to next message

Tomorrow we play Swindon Supermarine at home, a team that are sat comfortably in play off positions at the moment.

We haven't won since the end of January, partly due to the style of play, but also due to the postponed matches. Hopefully this one will not be postponed either.

Players to watch out for tomorrow:

Connor McDonagh - 11 Goals this season (Same as Sealy-Harris)
Harry Williams - 9 goals this season (Same as Cullen)

Previous meetings

Swindon S 3-2 Farnborough (12th Oct 2019)
Farnborough 2-1 Swindon S (5th Jan 2019)
Swindon S 4-2 Farnborough (16th Oct 2018)

Good news, because in the last five meetings between the two sides, the home team have always won. Let's hope that's the case tomorrow.

I'm predicting a 2-1 win.

Other fixtures (teams with an asterisk next to their name can affect our league position)

Beaconsfield v Poole
Blackfield v Merthyr*
Chesham v Gosport
Dorchester v Weston SM
Hayes & Yeading v Taunton
Met Police v Yate
Salisbury v Hendon*
Tiverton v Wimborne*
Truro v Harrow
Walton Casuals v Hartley Wintney

Still think one of the best chants from oppo fans was from the Wealdstone lot a few years ago: 'Good ground, no fans'!
