Ambition   Message 47907Thu, 08 November 2018 10:49  Go to next message

We, as stakeholders need to know what the short term, medium term and long term ambitions for Farnborough FC really are.

Do we 1) tread water in our current league building until we are ready to make a serious promotion challenge? - Short/medium term.
Then establish ourselves for the forseeable future in Conference South? - Long term.

Or 2) seek promotion as soon as possible (short and medium term) until we reach Conference National, establishing ourselves for the forseeable future at that level? - Long term

Or 3) seek promotion next season (short term) then in (hopefully) two seasons promotion to Conference National (medium term) and ultimate promotion to Football League? - Long term

Do we intend to continue under the current ownership and leadership for the forseeable future?

What is our outlook for changes and improvement in management?

What is our ambition in relation to the ability to compete in cup runs in the FA Cup and FA Trophy by having a settled team?

Brian, no point in asking that here.
I suggest these points are sent to Mr. Prince and Mr. Day c/o Farnborough F.C, but don't expect any pertinent replies, as I don't think they know how to answer them!!!

I think that the Conference National has changed beyond all recognition since we were last there. I consider Conference South to be an ambition. I would welcome a couple of mid table seasons there with at least a couple of round advance in the various cup competitions that we enter.

There is no ambition.

I'd love us to have the ambition of getting a real manager in rather than a sociopathic charlatan, so that we could stop letting in 3-7 goals a game. I'd love to go to a Boro game with the faint hope the players might know each other and stand a slim chance of getting a point against the world-beating likes of Chesham, Met Police or Swindon Submarines

A lot to ask, I'll grant you.
