I remember an official statement a couple of seasons ago stating that the then attendances of 400, or whatever it was, were good for a club like Farnborough and that anyone referencing our previous larger crowds was naive. I wonder what they'd now say about the current 200 attendances.

However those last fans - a mixture of diehards, bored locals and OAPs with nothing better to do - are for me what is keeping Spencer going. The crowds may be awful but they turn up week in and week out no matter how awful the results are. Would love to see a full on boycott.

As much as I hate the idea for the player's sake, I do wonder whether a complete boycott by regular fans for one game would punch home a message to his Lordship..?

Empty stands = no-one to stroke the ego...

Stay away, put a tenner into FAST (or a charity of your choice) or go watch a different team for a change of scene.

Or just carry on as usual...

I believe, without hard evidence, but I do have two eyes, that Farnborough FC has been going down the "Eastleigh" route when it comes to declaring attendances.

It's not hard. Say every corporate sponsor that is signed up gets five or more season tickets. These are included in the declared attendance every week, whether the tickets are used or not.

Full marks to those who are brokering these deals when the reputation of the Club in the community is so low. This income pays bills.

I also wonder why they do this in the face of hard evidence that someone is on a narcissistic journey while totally lacking the fundamental skills required to organise and manage players playing at level 7 of the football pyramid.

Hey ho, here we are.

To be fair to Spencer he did 'pull out three plums' on Saturday. He introduced two full backs who each scored and then brought on Connor Cullen who promptly scored, so a great substitution.

It appears we were undermined by an inadequate defensive formation.
We need one or two experienced central defenders. When we are defending all players should play their part even if Perry Coles is in the team. We would like to know something about his unavailability or non selection. I think he could have provided 'a plum or two'.

Does anyone know where Adeyeye, Atkinson, Sealy-Harris and Coles were?

Injured, suspended, dropped or left the club?

Any idea who 2 and 3 are along with Leggett on the bench please? Also where is AJ?

Leggett is a right back. Most recently with Gosport Borough, previously with Basingstoke, started out in the youth teams at Aston Villa and Southampton.

We know the pattern. Spencer brings in good players. They don't train enough to get on the rest of the team's wavelength or get good tactical advice on how to defend or quality man management, gradually deteriorate in form, then get scapegoated and disappear (or grasp the first 7-day approach opportunity that comes their way to get the hell out)..

CJ must have played with something like a thousand team-mates since he joined the club - how does he remember their names??

Only solution here is for Spencer to remain Emperor of Football, with responsibility for transfers, off the pitch stuff, etc, and get a real manager in who can be arsed to take training sessions and has some tactical nous.

It would cost money, yes, but would more than pay for itself in terms of additional gate receipts if we can win a few games and maybe even have the buzz of a playoff push (obviously not this season).

Spencer may do the managerial job for free, but actually, with plummeting crowds through the continuous eroding of fans' hopes season after season after season, he's actually costing the club a fortune. No complaints with how he's stabilised us off the pitch, but to remain as unsackable manager for life while failing by October every season and thinking that's fine is insane.

The loyal supporters have been treated with complete contempt since the beginning of the season by the management. No real dialogue with the supporters is not the way for any club to hope to prosper.

I think I will spend the usual cost of car parking, entrance fee, 50/50 tickets, a tea or a beer watching footie somewhere else, where as a paying customer it may be more appreciated.

he's actually costing the club a fortune.

It's actually 'losing/missing' the Club a fortune!!

The final cost is the hands of the Owner(s) ultimately!!

I wonder how deep their pockets are, and how much longer they can allow it to go on??
