Thanks. A draw would have just meant an agonising defeat in Wales so best its over with today. Now Spencer can get on with battling relegation / preparing for next season. Efficient.

Other than Brendon's stunning goal and the (dubious) penalty, I can't recall a shot on target to trouble their keeper. We never looked like really troubling Merthyr and won't be bothering any other defences in the near future if we play like that again...

Season over.

Even Spencer looked bored. And he wants others to pay in £12 a go to fund his boredom?

Change, now.

Season over before November. That's an incredible level of incompetence you've hit there Spencer.

OK now we have nothing left to play for we have a chance to look at a few new players AGAIN and build a decent squad for next season and....hang on a minute, didn't I hear that before somewhere???

Oh yeah, it was last November! What happened to that team??? Did it happen?, doesn't look like it! Have I really been asleep for a year???

Will people really pay twelve pounds per game to watch half a season of pre season trials?????

So many questions, so few answers coming!!!!!!!!!!

Well there IS one answer to it all, but it won't happen!!!!!!

Maybe I will try another year of sleep to see if anything changes. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Didn't fancy the cash from a cup run then Spence?

it's ok; we can rely on those seven day approaches and big attendances to sustain us through the season. Fans will come in their droves and pay £12 to watch players that have arrived the night before and no cohesion in the team.

I give it 4 weeks before the you/the owner announces cutting the budget and we're all the way back to where we were last year. another season to nothing.

Genuinely, what would it take for you to #### off. give us an idea what it would take for you to sell up,leave and sod off back to your mansion, taking your fleet of cars with you. which the bank owns.

you couldn't even manage to be Whitney Houstons agent, what makes you think you can manage football players? These are kids with their careers at their feet. some very talented footballers who need coaching and nurturing to realise their full potential. Instead you hang them out to dry and let their confidence get shot by playing shite football with no idea or direction by getting hammered and places like Poole.

you're ####ing moron. come call me a keyboard warrior again.

Same old story..................For the first time in many years I decided not to attend a home match and save my money. When was the last time the club under this moron have progressed beyond a round or two in the cup competitions? He is totally clueless yet expects supporters to turn up each week to watch absolute crap. There is no hope of better times whilst he is the manager.

It saddens me that the spirit of the fans has dwindled so much. There once was a time when the fans would be up in arms about this and plan some sort of action. Now fans appear meek towards any action, or feed Spencer's ego by continually go to games on the "it's our club" belief. Unfortunately that just feeds the cancer that is Spencer's ego.

Spencer Day did not and has not saved Farnborough football club, it is dying of a cancer that is Spencer Day's Ego!

It's certainly sad Richard that what support we have is rapidly declining, and may well continue now that the season is effectively dead for the second consecutive season!

The great 'Club' spirit that used to be, has long since been extinguished by years of the same old sob stories, excuses and poor performances on the field, and the humungous turnover of players from week to week, which in itself leaves supporters non plused, not knowing who will be in the side each game.
The one comment I constantly hear is who we got playing today then?? Answer wait till Paul puts the team sheet up, and you are still non the wiser with two or three names each time!!

Supporters are not daft and can see through all the nonsense they are given as excuses for poor Management and performances!!
It's not always about the budget!!!
It's about getting the best out of what you have, bad workmen and tools and all that!

It's always someone else's fault though!
Looking inward is long overdue!!!!

I have long since said that everything about any football club is affected by what happens on the field of play.
Get that right, or reasonable, and everything else will gradually fall in to place behind it.

What we have now is currently being tempered/masked some what by the excellent work being done behind the scenes with getting some great sponsorship deals, and the finances from this that is undoubtedly keeping the 'Club' afloat at the moment, but for how long??

If I owned a business that had lost 75% of it's customers I would most certainly be asking questions about the product or those producing it, and without doubt there would be heads rolling if the right answers could not be found, but apparently not at Farnborough!!!

Until these questions are asked and, more importantly, acted upon, there will be a continual slow downward spiral of performances and subsequent fall off of attendance.

Maybe playing to near empty stadiums will concentrate the minds a bit, although I doubt it!!

I can understand why fans don't go, and I find it difficult to push myself there sometimes, but I want to support the players in yellow and blue, it's not their fault in any way, plus I support the efforts of FaST in their fund raising to keep the stadium in good condition, although this again should be a Club expenditure!!

Who knows though, the FaST organisation and connections could be very useful in years to come when the circus leaves town!!

When, of course, depends on the ringmaster!!

How long before some unkind person calls for Spencer to be called Groundhog?

For now black humour is one of the ways we keep our spirits up.

Slough Town have two former Farnborough players operating as joint managers. Is there a popular player from the past who could be encouraged to be joint manager with Spencer?

Paul Harkness would be ideal, wouldn't cost a fortune and would be hungry to cut his teeth at management, no brainer for me.

seconded with Harks. however I wouldn't want anyone to work with Trethewy, waterboarding is a more attractive option that working with him. he just needs to pack up and and clear off. he's lost the fans, players don't respect him and he has no sustainable long term plan.

It isn't a question of working with Spencer, he just wouldn't accept it, or listen, just look at how many assistants that have come and gone!!

JR seems to be sticking, and I think he would be a good choice to take over, if it ever happened!!

Almost happened at the start of the season, through the psf's, and things looked quite good with Carl and JR, but as soon as Spencer came back it was thanks and good bye to Carl, and we were back to normal!!

Not sure of any past players who could cut the mustard now, but I'm damn sure there are plenty of competent Manager/coaches around that could join with JR and do a decent job.

Still need to be a vacancy though, and I don't know when/if it will ever happen!!!

The only thing to do is take your football support elsewhere, there's a rather well run and local team just down the A30. I don't waste my time or money going to watch Boro. Shame as it used to be great fun, great football and a great atmosphere. When Mr T gets bored as sponsors won't sponsor a team with no support, then maybe he will up sticks and leave, this may be just a pipe dream!

To avoid relegation hopefully.
Very disappointed to be out of both the FA Cup and the Trophy already.
