Played well until a shocker of a wasted free-kick. So they went down our end and scored a couple of mins later. We had a pen which was easily saved (if it was outside the box would have been a yellow no complaints as a simple 'hack', but ref did not book their player). After 2 mins of stoppage were announced we switched-off to concede in the 3rd minute to an easy header... So much for playing to the end... Not a 2-0 game by any means as we are not being out played as such, just we are being punished for not taking our chances when they have theirs... Could be another Weymouth 2nd half!

2nd half Salisbury played percentages, happy to see out the game, we hit the post and the bar but did not score - the straight red for Salisbury was justified for violent conduct with laying-in to Fernandes lying on the floor, Oseni after the initial hand bags ran 30 yards to start more so was also a justified 2nd yellow & off. CJ was also booked for arguing with the ref - another injury time goal, this time well taken and goodnight Vienna - should have had a draw on the performance - profligacy cost us.

Hmmm...............personally thought Salisbury were much the better team and fully deserved the win. Boro's defence were terrible! It's no wonder the number of goals already conceded.

Agreed, we deserved nothing from that, although didn't help ourselves with the missed pen and hitting the bar from an open goal.

Amazing the clear problems with the team, which most of the crowd could see clearly, haven't changed since the start of the season - no cohesion and no midfield.

Salisbury were no better than us at the individual level but their players are clearly on the same wavelength (guess they have training sessions together), play midfielders, took their chances and have a real manager, rather than an incompetent sociopath.

After one point from five games I now genuinely believe Spencer is capable of getting a very talented group of players relegated. Seems entirely possible.

The ironic thing about this all is that we could have won this game but for woeful finishing and penalty miss. When we got the penalty i actually shouted to Spencer to give it to Perry to which he replied well he hasn't scored since he came back, as true as this is we all know that sometimes a goal after a drought can kickstart a run. I wonder if we saw the last of Perry yesterday and maybe one or two others which brings me onto my next point....Michael Fernandes, if i was the manager i'd drop him to the bench if not release him, as good a player as he is he is not what we need right now and his attitude stinks. 99% of his step overs and flicks and trickks fail and his diving is embarrassing.

I have said from the start that Michael looks to be a clone of Dan Bennett!!
Brilliant one minute, petulant schoolboy the next!

Come on Michael, get your head down and work, you know you are better than that!!

Don't think any player has more assists for us this season.

He's naive in some ways and needs to learn but he won't be dropped - no doubt we're still looking to get some money for him at some point.

With a well-organised, managed team, we could have got at least a point yesterday. As it was our defending was a bloody shambles.
How about getting them training regularly instead of another flaming friendly?!

We are playing a Oseni at Right Back who came through the Man City set up as Centre Back, CJ who is easily our best Midfielder at Centre Back and Puemo who would struggle to get a game at The Dog and Duck. Salisbury were without a Goalie due to suspension so got a kid from Reading who was superb, we get a Walton Casuals or wherever he was from reject. This game tomorrow should give Spencer a chance to play players in their proper positions, you never know what might happen.

Look, penalties are a different kettle of fish to scoring in open play. Perry was the only one to score a penalty at the end of the game against Lewes. I have faith in him from the penalty spot even if he has not had too many opportunities to score yet.

We need 'square pegs' in 'square holes' and 'round pegs' in 'round holes' which is the point about playing players in the right positions.

If we had scored that penalty at that stage in the match we might have got something out of the game.

Barry, if you ask players they will always say they prefer to play rather than train, but these arranged friendlies say to me that the coaching/management staff are copping out from what they should be doing....coaching!!!

You can't stop in the middle of a friendly and say " hang on lads what about if we do it this way?, or why can't we try this?
can you!!

Hopefully what they learn on Monday will be sorted out at Thursday's session! Don't hold your breath!

Coles hasn't scored since his return..
Is this down to a lack of service??
Which from not watching live I find strange when you have fernandes and Sealey-Harris on the wings to run down and create low crosses for Coles and high cross for a tall striker..

Can't recall Perry having a chance to miss anything from being out through since he has been back - his strength is playing off a 'big fella' so we got rid of Connor who was perfect for getting the ball as a target man... At present when the ball goes wide there are no low crosses behind the defence for Perry to run on to as they are looking to cut inside themselves and score!.. We are simply not playing to the strengths of the players on the park either through coaching or egos.

Salisbury have successfully appealed against their red card last week using video evidence: https://www.salisburyfc.co.uk/index.php/news/1286-elliot-whe eler-wrongful-dismissal-appeal

Wheeler was the no. 3. I thought it was the no. 4 that deserved the red card?

Can't believe that got overturned!! Look at the Video on the main site, and freeze frame it, and it is DEFINATELY the No 3 that puts both hands round the throat of the Boro player!!

Also, if the ere WAS a red card offence why can't it be transferred to the correct player??
