Not surprised one bit.

And I also won't be surprised if there's a key departure in the next few days.

Not sure how to interpret what's happened, but it doesn't sound good.

Could just be a remark that he's not going to a PL side until the next window so will still be in a 'holding pattern' around time the Cherrywood Road area till then 😉

Tweet deleted now so hopefully something's been resolved.

Would be great to have a general squad update before the team sheet gets submitted tomorrow though...

Absolutely, a final preseason update would be very good.

The departure happened. I have received two different explanations that are contradictory, One of them is bull, Hey ho.

Barton, Stroud and Beeny all missing yesterday!!

No GK cover either, so it's a good job the ref considered Pidgely's offence was yellow and not red!!

Barton and Stroud are in the team photo the club published last week. Stroud is waiting for international clearance?

Barton was injured. He could be seen at FaST food just before kick-off

Pretty sure this is Beeny:

The other player is paperwork.

Can't remember his name, honest!

He took pre-season training, hence the significant change in tactics when Spencer Day returned from holiday.

Do you mean Carl Taylor, the big lad that took the coaching reins, pre season?

Quite liked him, and his attitude to the job. Players seemed to like him too.

I had high hopes of him joining, and I thought it would have been a good option with him and JR running the team and Spencer in a sort of 'Director of Football' role, but hey ho, situation normal.

Stroud was at the match, he even posted footage he'd taken of one of the goals on Twitter. He's confirmed himself on there that he's awaiting clearance.

Frank is indeed also known as Jerry, again confirmed via Twitter.

The club do really need to pull their finger out - having released a squad photo they could at least name the players! But I presume no-one had told whoever updates the website who the players are.

A lot of people come on here querying if people had gone but this forum has about 5 users. Have a look on Twitter and your question will be answered very quickly, sometimes by the players themselves! And you don't need an account to look at it.

Re: Michael Fernandes   Message 47133 is a reply to message 47132Mon, 13 August 2018 14:15  Go to previous messageGo to next message

Twitter is a good, or bad, thing depending on your point of view, but is not the be all and end all of communication to supporters.

We have an excellent Main Club website and a fans forum, both of which should be used for Club information, just as much as Twitter.

Who for instance knew anything about the two new players that turned out on Saturday, until around 2-30 when the team sheet went up?

Where did they come from? how long have we got them? have they signed or on trial?

Where were the missing players? and why were they not involved? Has anyone left?

All items that supporters need to know if the Club seriously want them to be involved with, and getting behind, supporting the team and Club!!.

If not, it's just another random game of football that they can take or leave, on a Saturday, and unfortunately many have taken the latter option.

Saying that, Saturday's attendance was pretty good, although I reckon about 80 were from Wimborne, so lets see how it pans out!!

There is some excellent work behind the scenes with new sponsors etc, but we are seriously short of good PR.

Then again, a PR person is only as good as the information they are allowed to transmit !!!!!

The club's official Facebook page is often a better source of timely, in-depth information that the Twitter feed. Yesterday it promised that full squad names were to follow - I just hope Paddy Power weren't having any say this time...
