No one has ever knocked the volunteers Kevin, and what is happening, on match days, is an insult to all the good work behind the scenes.

I truly am sorry for you guys for all that you do.

Nobody knocks the volunteers, without them the club would be dead and buried already.

What can't happen any longer is the defense of Spencer.
None of this "we have a club", "he saved us" rubbish. He is killing the club slowly, not saving it!!

He is a cancer that needs cutting out!

Surely after tonight the position of Spencer Day as Manger is way beyond untenable.

Reasons

Lost the last 7 games in a row

Goals for 8

Goals against 27

No points earned of course.

Tonight's attendance 169

Time's up Spencer.

Narcissism is a powerful antidote to reality. See Donald Trump for details.

If the narcissism wins out then the Club will die. We lose, and whoever is funding the operation loses too.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Kevin,

You've clearly misconstrued Jules's words. I think you are the only one who thought that comment was targeted at more then just the management and playing staff.

However, what is clear, is the owner doesn't care about the fans. Everybody is sick of the constant drubbings, change in playing personnel, bullshit excuses and high pricing.

This ownership and management partnership will lead to the club folding, something none of us wants. It's clear to all that good things are happening off the pitch. Something that for years we were missing, but now the actual football side is lacking. An area we all know where the problem lies.

Nobody is asking for some managerial god to come in, just a change at the helm.

Because clearly with Spencer Day, it doesn't work on the pitch and it doesn't work for the fans.

This was truly a game of two halves.

We were unfortunate to conceed from a set piece with virtually the last kick of the half. Instead of going in at the break having battled for a 0-0 we were at 0-1. The first half was competitive and a lot closer than the following 45mins would perhaps lead you to believe.

After half-time we conceeded far too early and again the opposition were allowed to score quick goals in succession which killed the competition off somewhat. The Farnborough players, by the mid point of the second half were playing for pride and still pushed forward in search of a goal but in the last 15mins we began to look tired, Bishop's Stortford stuck to their task and at times our inexperience showed.

There was a comment earlier in this thread about people not giving a shit. On the field I can assure you this wasn't the case. Notably; Aaron Bufton, vocal from kick-off, playing for a place as number one. Lewis Ferrell, bossing the back line, who was loud and vocal throughout and seemed to take up the role of captain when CJ went off. CJ Fearn, when does he not give 110% for Farnborough? Sam Hanger, playing with more confidence is looking for comfotable in his role. Sam has stepped up a couple of divisions to be with us. Michael Elias-Fernandes never stopped running or trying to put in other players with defence splitting passes. My man of the match, Connor Calcutt, worked so hard in his role and won most of his aerial battles. The whole game using his stength, had the opposition bouncing off him.

Lastly, we had Kye Buckley, 18, making his Farnborough debut. He played about 30mins. The majority of supporters have requested homegrown players are encouraged and given a chance to play in the 1st team. I'm pretty sure this young lad gave it everything and "gave a shit" too. A shame plenty of supporters were not there to see it.

Even if you don't support the manager, support the players wearing a Farnborough shirt. The ones who are caught in the middle.

They just aren't good enough.. 11 fans would give a shit as would anyone, no player steps onto a pitch to lose at any age or level. Its men's football the whole attitude of well done you tried doesn't cut it its not the under 7s. There is amazing things being done by the volunteers and youth sides but the top is the problem. Imho step 4 and 5 you can buy your way out step 3 up monry helps yes but the better players find out the manager/ coaches quicker and easier, i dont think its much of a coincidence there are no experience old pro's in our side like alot of the others

Indeed, lets not blame the players - that's the coward's way out; the approach of someone who can't get the best of them and installs a revolving door to deflect blame several times a season.

Eight years into the Emperor's reign it doesn't wash any more. These players are good enough to pick up points in this league, if someone was organising them who had any managerial ability. Someone like this needs to come in for the start of next season. Only one man now believes otherwise. That man manages a team that has conceded 113 league goals so far this season. 113.

I would never blame the players,we all know they are doing their best. The reality is that until Spencer Day stands down as Manager the decline in attendances will continue. Like many I have until recently been a regular supporter (for over 30 years). However during this last couple of seasons I have missed several games because I no longer feel motivated enough to watch teams managed by SD. Same excuses same mistakes same poor value for money. I like others have seen some poor performances over the years (I remember a cold Saturday at Marlow) but nothing as bad as compared to now.

I think that losing, and not replacing like for like, Sam Pearce this season has had a massive impact on the squad.

As good as he was as a player, what he also brought to the team was the support, encouragement and instruction that he gave to the younger players breaking into the team. This season, all those players had was Josh Huggins and his constant negativity and criticism which I am sure destroyed the confidence of some of these lads.

One thing that I thought I noticed last night was that on several occasions we had a player bombing down the wing. When he eventually got a cross in there were half a dozen or so opposition defenders in the box and at best 2 of ours with three or four more ambling up as if they had all day. Can anyone confirm whether I am right or wrong. I stand to be corrected.

My comment was not aimed at the players or volunteers. It was more aimed at the fans like myself who watch goal after goal conceded and become numb to it. The fans around me just seem to accept that that is the way of it and don't seem to care anymore.
