Spencer wasn't there today, was at a different game.

Hartley's average attendance is just 145 and i'm pretty sure AFC Rushden brought more than Stratford did today.

bemoaning the youngsters will do them a world of good. let's not forget it was his infinite wisdom to bin off all the experienced lads and bring in kids and loans to see us through pre-pre-season.

Same old story with the performance yesterday. Until Spencer understands that you need a solid defence his teams will not win enough games. He says he is "building" for next season, well let's hope he can get in an experienced no nonsense centre back who knows how to defend and lead the team. As I have mentioned before he also needs to stick with a regular keeper whether it be Aaron as someone else, not keep chopping and changing this position. During Spencer's reign how many keepers per season has he used? I bet it has been at least five / six each season! Also whilst it is good to bring in promising youngsters, SD needs at least two / three experienced players in the team at this level to be a consistent team. It is sad to look around the ground and see so few spectators, but you need a successful team to put bums on seats. Too many false dawns under the present management.

It is the lowest ebb for me - yesterday was utterly abject. losing 4-1 at home to a nothing-special mid-table side of clogging whiners was actually incredibly flattering to us. If Stratford had been bothered about scoring in the second half, it would have been more.

Spencer has now supposedly been a football manager for more than ten years, and he still can't set up a side to do the defensive basics. This isn't going to change. He hasn't improved as a manager in the 7-8 years he's been with us (which feels like longer). How many hundreds of good players have deteriorated under his stewardship in that time?

Everyone can see he's incompetent in his job, hence the shouts of 'Spencer Out' yesterday (which I added to for the first time). Imagine if you or I singularly failed to do our job properly forever? Only Kings, Emperors and Dictators get to do that, and even Vladimir Putin's going to step down in 2024. If Day doesn't go at the end of this season we'll have single-figure crowds next. For the good of the club, he needs to take up a non-coaching role and appoint an actual manager.

I still think we have some really good players - we were alright going forward yesterday - plenty of shots on target. I back the players, don't get me wrong. Calcutt gave his all yesterday.

Also, we don't seem to have an announcer who even knows the names of the players anymore.....

It's not fair, in my opinion, to put all the blame on the players. Yes they are young and learning the trade, but I can't recall any of them being 'crap' as suggested.

Returning to the field for the second half yesterday, the players looked like a lot of schoolboys who have just had a huge B******ing from the headmaster. The body language said it all.

One of the basic arts of Management, in any situation or company, is knowing how to treat employees, cajoling some rollicking others, and when/how to do it!!
The slash and burn approach just does not work!!, and criticism of your staff in public also doesn't help increase productivity!!

We have ploughed through 50+ players this season AGAIN!!, ( but there isn't a revolving door!!) and only a few of those could be described as not good enough for this League.

Look what Terry Brown, is achieving with youngsters, and no money, at Basingstoke for instance.
We will probably find out on Easter Monday!!

We all know where the problem is, and I'm positive it's not just about money, but it won't change in the short term unless, that is, attendances drop so low it forces the issue!!

Don't hold your breath though!!

As the result of work commitments and sickness our two regular announces were not available.
Paul Sampson and I covered as well our usual matchday duties.

I personally am dyslexic and don't like reading aloud.

If you would like to private message me your number, the next time we're in the same position you can do the job.

Whilst I'm sure we all appreciate volunteers stepping up to the plate, it is a real shame that the best announcer we ever had was deemed surplus to requirements.

Sorry,I should have worded that better. I did not wish to imply all the players were crap. There is certainly some talent there. Also agree that Connor gave his all in the game.
