I've just done roughly the same using the last set of Predictions from Kempster and the outline of this map.

Northern League 23
Southern League Midland 17
Southern League South / West 13
Isthmian league 35

Long season in Kent / Sussex & London

It's a pity for you Matt, but it's a move that I, personally, have endorsed for many years, and has/will finally come to bear next season.

It makes logical sense to avoid huge travelling, and expense, for Clubs at this level.

I agree that there is still a bit of travel in the southern section, due to the geography of the country, which can't be helped, but it 'should' avoid the Gloucester/Worcester north or south, and the Essex, Cambridgeshire, Ryman or Southern type debates at the end of each season with the so called agm cup!

Now, once the North sorts itself out in to east and west, there will then be a true 1-2-4-8 pyramid, which is much neater and long overdue.

Can't claim to have any actual input in to it Mickey, but it's always been a personal view and I'm pleased that the powers at be have finally seen sense.

I should add that my comments about the northern section sorting themselves out in to east and west to make 8 sectors refers to step 4.

Hope it all finally works out.

makes total sense for the clubs to cut down on travelling.

At this rate, i'll have to watch Birmingham or Solihull Moors LOL

Promotion through the playoffs will be trickier next year as only 6 go up to the National League North/South from the 4 step 3 leagues.
Play off winners will face playoff winners from another league to see who gets the promotion.

That'll be a derby game sooner rather than later Matt!

Thurrock FC resign from the Bostik League

The Bostik League is sad to report that it has received a letter from Thurrock FC confirming that the club is resigning from the League at the end of the current season.

Retweeted on Thurrock FC's twitter

How does that impact the predictions for next season I wonder?

It won't be finalised until the end of seasons promotion and relegation Clubs are established.

If what is listed above turned out to be correct though, I would assume that one of K's, Leatherhead, Staines or Met police would be moved back to Isthmian and another brought up from Southern south and West.

That's not something that will bother us Gonzo. This shambles of a team is only heading in one direction and that is downwards, unless we find someone who knows what they are doing!

Did I hear it wrongly or did Spencer say in one of his post mortem interviews that we are at the level that we should be at?
I would have thought we should be aiming for Conference South.
