Hereford   Message 45639Wed, 24 January 2018 13:48  Go to next message

Just seen on twitter that we are giving Hereford the PRE for their visit down on the 3rd. Is the game segregated and if so how would it work?

That would make sense. Hereford must have taken 500 or so to Dorchester on Saturday as the total attendance was 900.

Also Aldershot were due to be at home to Gateshead the same day as Hereford's visit, but that match is now off. Given there were incidents the last time Hereford visited Cherrywood a fair few years ago (nothing to do with Boro' fans) I'd like to think the Club is working with the relevant authorities to ensure that both sets of supporters have a trouble-free day.

The match is not segregated. The Hereford fans have been poorly catered for on a few occasions this season. We want the whole day to feel like a family atmosphere and we don't want their fans to feel like second class citizens, we want them to have access to burger bars, to the main bar and toilets etc. It was felt that if we suggested that their fans congregate in the PRE, it would encourage more fans and particularly families to attend, knowing that they are not going to be stuck out on an uncovered terrace like when we've visited Woking.
No one will be stopped from using the PRE, but just be aware that you will probably be outnumbered in there. Also it is recommended that you arive early to avoid any congestion, and to leave time if you want food or drink as obviously the outlets are going to be busier than normal. We are opening the old burger bar in addition to the new one and Farnies will be serving too. Please note that the main bar will not be accessable from the carpark, you will have to enter the ground to use it via the turnstiles. Happy to answer any further questions if I can.

Makes sense. They're all SAS.
