Thank You Josh Huggins   Message 45443Wed, 10 January 2018 16:19  Go to next message

Player update from Manager, Spencer Day

As I mentioned in my Basingstoke Interview, I am speaking with the players individually about the remainder of this season and next and will have more news in the coming few days.

Changes must be made with a view to improving and more importantly preparing for next season as well as managing the restricted budget.

I have spoken to Josh Huggins and decided that it was best that we part to which he agreed. Josh has been a great servant to the club over two spells and was a major part in our promotion six months ago.

We thank him for his time, he will always be welcome at Boro and I wish him and his family all the success for the future.

Not a major surprise as i think Josh has been found out in this league. Only hope Spencer has got in a decent replacement as our back 4 were rubbish as it was.

And Lewis Ellington's loan has ended as well.

New faces for the next game? Or bare bones and a minimal bench?

Thanks for everything Josh, and best wishes for the future, wherever you play. Always gave 100% in whatever position.

Probably done to reduce the budget due to the lower attendances. Good luck Josh!

Actually crowds aren't lower than last year, there is a small increase. And we still have Hereford to come

6% increase for going up a division... Not very good really. Still, according to that table Gosport and Biggleswade have had games with zero attendees.

People would much rather see a team near the top of a league than near the bottom of the league above it. Crowds will pick up and Hereford will give that average a big boost.
