Interesting to see that Slough have only played 5 games in December and they have all been at home whereas we have played 8 and half of them have been away (including two long trips in the past week).
No wonder they looked fresher.
Also find it strange that the two of the three officials were so local.

The sorry fact is that there are many like myself who feel zero connection to the club we used to know and love. It's not a rarity that I didn't even know we were playing today and even less so that I didn't really care about the result.
Spencer will be in charge for exactly however long he wants to be regardless of what anyone, and that includes the chairman, thinks. His lack of managerial talent has long been evident and his awful reputation within non league circles will see the name of Farnborough associated with dodginess and distrust for the foreseeable future.
Sad times.

Surely that's because your circumstances have changed Trents and the fact you now live in a small town near Birmingham? Today's match has been on the fixture list all season, has been continuously advertised on social media and a preview on our website.
The regular fans have been thanked repeatedly for their continued support and board members regularly stand with supporters behind the goals on match days. We have continuously tried to bring in local players and tried to bring the youngsters from the academy through. The Supporters Trust has achieved one of their aims of getting representation on the board and constantly work side by side with the club management. Above all, the club is no longer racking up debts it can't pay, yet you all harp on about the past when there was complete disregard for what the club could actually afford!

in reference to Day's post match interview.
deluded! to say small margins, officials cost us and that we could have won are ludicrous statements.
we were second best throughout. there was no spark or invention. terrible defending at set pieces and practically turned into a training game for Slough. the man blames anyone for another crap performance.
blames the fixtures for the slump, but known these expected journeys since August and could have prepared for them. it's not as if they've been a mystery.
it was a rout and quite frankly embarrassing.

Don't know if modern Managers/Coaches think differently, but I always believed, and had it drummed in when playing, that when defending corners, or free kicks around the box, that we put 2 men on the posts!!
Don't see it much today, but certainly yesterdays first goal may not have occurred if we did!!
Then what do I know?? It must be in that manual somewhere!!

Funny you should mention manual Bob. I got the Haynes manual for Christmas from an aunt or cousin. Perhaps Spencer got one too.
Then again a few years ago I got a book written by a bloke called Heatley, wonder what happened to him?

I have to say, Spencer did a good job, getting us promoted last time out, but this season has clearly illustrated the limits of his ability for me - the man is well out of his depth.
Once again, its all about an inability to get good players (for the most part) to perform, week-in, week-out. When you're trailing in the league to teams like Merthyr or Basingstoke who effectively have no playing budget and their men who take to the pitch are simply unpaid volunteers (but motivated ones) then serious questions need to be asked.
Obviously they won't be, because Prince or Garbo or whichever puppet is currently installed as head of the off-field hierarchy is effectively powerless to alter the manager-for-life regime.
But a club owned and run in a sensible way would change their manager before any more damage is done. We've already less than 200 attendance at each home game and falling. Does it really need to get into double figures before something meaningful is done?
