We dodged a bullet there. First time ever an official decision has gone for us?

Well, despite the Oxfordshire-based conspiracy theories, a road accident shutting down the transport link was hardly our fault.

Should be treated the same way as a waterlogged pitch or force majeure, and has been. Sanity prevails. Unfortunate for the winners they won't get a(nother) home Sat game but some things aren't under anyone's control.

I suspect the conspiracy theorist assumed that because Banbury were playing Farnbrough that all of the Farnborough players live and work in Farnborough. Er, no. :0)

There are good reasons why Dover Athletic hold training sessions in SE London and, until recently, King's Lynn Town trained in Peterborough, which was a good half-way house for Lynn's local players and those based in the East Midlands.

Whatever decision, it wasn't going to please one party or the other.

Unfortunately this really has made 'Banbury Cross'!!, and its like poking a wasp nest with a stick.

I fear it could get a bit feisty on Saturday!
Hope the Officials are on the ball!!

Good luck lads, be strong.

COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

Ridiculous overreaction from them. I wonder how much their tune would change if the boot was on the other foot.

I have not known so much angst about a piddling FA Trophy tie since the QF at Witton Albion. Which was a long time ago.

Given our Eternal Leader's dismal record in knockout competitions (and his equally dismal attempts to assemble something that might be called a "defence" without breaching the Trades Descriptions Act), they should win by at four.

I shall, however, enjoy a good day out. Plenty of nice places to visit en route. :0)

Their supporters went very quiet each time we scored against them in the first game.

Indeed - take the blood pressure pills lads! If that's the worst thing going on in your lives, be grateful...

Much as a few of their fans seem to love the moral high ground and others are believing a major vehicle accident was somehow our doing, I don't recall us ever failing to fulfil a fixture like this before.

They should get over themselves and feel a bit more sympathy for everyone caught up in such an event which was beyond our (or anyone's) control. As I say, sanity prevails, the FA make the right decision, a load of plonkers call it "a disgrace". No changing it now lads - move on, concentrate on the football!

We won't, but it'll be very funny if we win now...

Also just to add, farnborough didn't actually get off Scott free. It was said that we wouldn't recieve any travel expenses or any share of gate receipts in the replay , so that has cost the club in the region of upto £1500-£2000 , didn't see that advertised on the Banbury statement or Banbury forum that was announced by them

Banbury incurred unrecoverable costs and it 100% wasn't their fault that the game did not go ahead as scheduled, so to award them the gate for this Saturday will mitigate their loss. Fair enough.

It won't be much anyway. Banbury attracted 230 for their replay with Tiverton in the last round and they charge £10/£6 for adult/concession admissions. So (stripping out VAT) the gate takings would have been in the region of £1,600. After deducting matchday costs, I'd imagine Tiverton received pennies if they got anything at all.

Potters Bar v Maldon & Tiptree, postponed tonight as the away side were involved in a accident on the M25. All okay. Just shows that these things do happen.

Bromley /Aldershot off as well due to a major power failure.

Perhaps these things don't happen in darkest Warwickshire!!

OK Oxfordshire then, but only just!!
Actually it's probably closer to Northants!!

Bit like some Clubs that refer to Farnborough as in Surrey, or Berkshire!!
