Kick off put back to 8:45pm, at the latest.

If we haven't kicked off by then, the Referee will Postpone the game.

Some of the Farnborough players have been delayed in traffic en route to Banbury.

So we will be thrown out of the competition or get a fine for failing to fulfil a fixture?

At times like this, the club helicopter should have come out of mothballs and been used.

No, we won't get thrown out of the competition.

I suspect this was the culprit:

Apparently the road was fully reopened at 8:20pm.

To make things worse for the traveling supporters and club officials, some of the Banbury United supporters were, in discussion, openly blaming our club as if this was a deliberate move.

At one point a group of about 6 or 7 of their most vocal support were standing outside of the room where the club officials gather and began to sing "at least we showed up", with one or two of them shouting really unnecessary comments just the other side of the glass windows.

Banbury seems to be a club with great, loyal support which includes a handful of openly friendly and helpful supporters, but rather sadly for them (they do) have an element of loud idiots who try to ruin things for everyone.

Travelling to the match last night was not helped by the M40 being closed temporarily due to an accident involving a lorry and cars.

their average age was 17 so was a bit past their bed time bless them.

it was the Banbury media guys fishing for the angle that we deliberately didn't show up which I found unprofessional.

So how come your media guys put a tweet out saying the game was off at 8:04 and then was deleted 10 minutes later, and you talk about ours being unprofessional

I recommend you bear this quote in mind:-

"Many journalists have fallen for the conspiracy theory of government. I do assure you that they would produce more accurate work if they adhered to the cock-up theory."
