Tonight's match officials   Message 43861Tue, 12 September 2017 12:48  Go to next message

Just seen on the main site, that tonight's officials come from Littlehampton, Southampton and... Scarborough!!!

Must be a typo, or maybe he is working down this way?
Wouldn't want to pay his expenses if not!!!

The referee from Manchester was probably when we were in the Conference, and the one from Peterborough I can probably just about justify as we had Clubs from Northampton in the League, but Scarborough?? Come on, I fail to see how that can be justified, unless there are circumstances we don't know about!!

University? Portsmouth? Southampton? Brighton? Who knows

Personally I can't see what the problem is.

The assistant referee in question is in the armed forces and is stationed a lot more locally than his Scarborough home.
