Southam's been here before. Hammond presumably the ex-Maidenhead right back. Loans or permanent additions to the squad?

I'm not sure, but our keeper hasn't played since his red? I'm assuming that's due to his ban?

Thanks Jules - our ongoing quest to keep 11 men on the pitch fails again. Salisbury have to be the favourites for Saturday now - all the injuries, suspensions and chopping and changing wasn't going to help against a team as strong as 'The Rebels' who outplayed and beat Hereford at their place.

Would have been nice to get to the end of August without a crisis at FFC for once, but still....

If it had been 5 or 6 we couldn't really have argued. Referee was poor again but we were awful 1st half and never really got into the game. 2nd half was much better with the introduction of a winger who pulled the Slough defenders wide giving Perry a bit of space to run into. Stunning cross and header for the equalizer and then the sucker punch right at the death. We really need to learn to defend corners though as we let their 9 run free on at least 2 occasions in the first half resulting in their 1st goal and the other hitting the bar.

As already said above, 1st half was very poor. The second half improved when we finally remembered all that good pre-season work - that an accurate pass along the deck is worth 20 hit & hope hoofs upfield.

Perry was an exemplar of tireless passion, energy and commitment (as usual). Something that Regis would do well to learn from as I think I could have measured his yardage over the 30 mins he was on the pitch using a ruler... #notacceptable

How unlucky were we at the end?!! Judging by Spencer's reaction after seeing the replay of Slough's late winner it was about 2 foot away from the line!
The officials we had today were absolutely diabolical to say the least! Not just for us but for Slough too!

Who the hell was our right back? No word of a lie, he is the shittest player i have seen at this club since Simon Wormull! That red card for him summed up his afternoon! If he is a replacement for Oyenuga then god help us!

Dan Walker was unreal out on the left! He is so quick and that ball he put across for Perry was a peach. Must say Perry's header was outstanding too!

Tough start this season for us but im sure we will come good IF WE STOP PICKING UP REDS!

Onto Salisbury next Saturday, im sure it will be very tough but its very winnable so lets put ourselves in the next round draw!

Bunyan looked like a Sunday league player. Didn't know what to do with the ball at his feet

we played Sunday league first half.
incessant hoofing of the ball. . which the two big defenders dealt with ease.
hoof ball works if you pick up the second ball but the midfield were stuck on the half way line in the first 45. offered no support.

back to basics time. 2 banks of 4, set up to defend set pieces and work the ball forward. needless lumping and second rate substitutes need to be addressed. this isn't southern div 1 where a tiny a mount of skill will win us games. we've got teams here that are set up and will drilled.

I guess at 15 "erms" in Day's post match rose tinted bullshit talk.

I get it that the best laid plans from pre-season have yet to be implemented as several key players have been missing. Stuff happens, but please don't rush players back - Calcutt clearly was a long way short of fitness today.

I would also like to think that the management team have learned that the Southern Premier is a much fiercer standard than the Isthmian/Ryman/Bostik equivalent. Unlike the Isthmian, launching the ball in the general direction of cow corner doesn't cut it in this division.

10 games in gives a rough idea of how the season will pan out..
Currently the side need to keep 11 players on the pitch and adapt to how sides play in this league.

Otherwise, its going to be a season of doom and gloom, we have a good core of solid players that need to knuckle down and the wins will come.

It was the first game i'd got to this season and the first half it seemed sunning myself was ruined by what I had to watch from Boro. Where to start? The midfield were missing, not sure if they wanted to enjoy the sun as well, rather than play, which was the start of the problems. We also couldn't cope with the big booming diagonal switch. Their 9 was running things, with a lot of play coming through him. Their first goal came from a set piece, but every corner they had we looked like we were going to concede and they should've had a penalty as well. We seemed to decide that the best method of service to 2 strikers who like to play on the shoulder of the defenders was either to hit it high to them, which their defenders dealt with comfortably, or overhit balls into the channels, which gave them no chance of getting onto. Near the end of the half, it seemed things were getting a bit better, as we tried to get it down and play in the channels, which caused their luddite having to turn and it made them look uncomfortable, but there was no real end product.

Second half, Slough seemed happy to sit back and drop deep, which allowed us to get at them a bit more. The chap (12) caused them all kinds of problems with his direct style of play and did well to create the goal. However, a silly foul and a Red followed, which shifted the momentum again. Slough should've had the game won by half-time though and it was frustrating, as they looked beatable, but we didn't start to play until the second half!!
